Hey folks, it’s Femtastic Friday.  Here are this week’s updates.

[TW: Domestic Violence] October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Non-heteronormative relationships are often sidelined in discussions of sexual and intimate partner violence.  Here are two important articles discussing the dangers of erasure by Black Girl Dangerous and Autostraddle.

Michelle Obama made a Spotify playlist in honor of International Day of the Girl.  Put it on if you need to get pumped to study!

[TW: Transmisogynistic Violence, Murder] Activist Diana Sacayan was found murdered in her home in Argentina on Wednesday.  Trans woman of color Zella Ziona was found shot in her home in Gaithersburg, MD, adding to the at least 20 trans people who have been killed in the U.S. in 2015.  Rest in power, Diana and Zella.    As violence against trans women continues to rise on a global scale, we would like to spotlight the following organizations as places to support if you feel compelled toward action:
